Where and how can spectators view the event?


The courses have been developed so that spectators can cheer on the trail runners from a maximum number of points by using the ski lifts to get around the Portes du Soleil domain. These ski lifts areaccessible using the Portes du Soleil Multipass.

Stage 1 / OUREA Solo 1 - 4km

To get to the start of the Time Trial, spectators will be able to take the Prodains Express cable car(included in the Portes du Soleil Multipass). Reckon on 30 mins to get to the start.

You’ll also be able to cheer on the trail runners by taking the cable car and positioning yourself at the exitfrom the path coming down from Le Crot aux Chiens.

Stage 2 / OUREA Solo 2 – 41km

Using the chairlifts from Avoriaz 1800, spectators will be able to cheer on the trail runners at 4 points:

• To get to the 7km point: use the chairlifts of Lindarets, Léchère and Mossettes
• Then to get to the 24km point: From the 7km point, get back on the Swiss side of the Mossettes chairlift and then the Crosets chairlift and the Champéry/Croix de Culet cable car
• To get to the 29km point:  Get back on the Champéry/Croix de Culet cable car
• To get to the 31km point: take the Crosets chairlift (31km).

Stage 3 / OUREA Solo 3 – 25km

Reckon on 30 to 40’ to get to the start via the chairlifts from Avoriaz 1800.

To get to the start of the time trial take the following chairlifts: Lindarets, Chaux Fleurie, Rochassons and Pierre-Longue.

Using the latter, spectators will be able to cheer on the trail runners at the race start, at Les Chalets de Plaine Dranse at the 18.5km point (by taking the Pierre-Longue chairlift), at the Rochassons ridge at the 20km point (by taking the Rochassons chairlift) and at the foot of the Lindarets chairlift at the 22.5km point.

Stage 4 / OUREA Solo 4 – 60km

Spectators will be able to access the sprint at Montriond (10km) by car at the aid stations of Saint Jean d’Aulps (16km), Le Col du Corbier (25km) and Abondance (39km), then Montriond Lake (51km).

No access is possible to the chairlift on that particular day.

To get to the start at Pré-la-Joux, which will also host the finish, spectators will take the chairlifts at Lindarets, Chaux Fleurie, Rochassons and Pierre-Longue. (included in the Portes du Soleil Multipass). Using the latter, spectators will be able to cheer on the trail runners at the race start and finish.

• To get to the 43km point: Take the chairlifts at Mossettes, Léchère and Chaux Fleurie
• To get to the 46km point: Get back on the Chaux Fleurie chairlift

Stage 6 / OUREA Solo 6 – 38km…Surprise Leg!

To spice up this stage a little, we’ve decided not to reveal the course. Trail runners will only know the ascent and descent, the distance of the stage in kilometres and the presence of 3 aid stations at the 13-23-30km points.

The chairlift signage to get to the 2 spectator hotspots will be put in place on the morning of the race so as not to reveal the course to the trail runners. The 1st hotspot will be at the 30km point (25’ trip from Avoriaz 1800) and the 2nd at the 35km point (25’ trip from Avoriaz 1800 and 20’ trip from hotspot 1). It’s possible to see the trail runners at both points, but spectators will need to quickly get back onto the chairlifts after their time at hotspot 1.
